Ecclesiastes 7:1-10

1.  It is better to have a Good Name.     v. 1a
     Proverbs 10:7; 22:1
      a.  A good name is consistent with a godly life.  Acts 11:24
      b.  A good name compliments your witness for Christ.
      c.  A good name continues after you are gone.  Hebrews 11:4; Philippians 1:3

2.  It is better to have a Grounded, Growing Faith.    vv. 1b-4
      a.  We are to be progressing:  Moving Onward  Philippians 3:7-14
      b.  We are to be ascending:  Moving Upward

3.  It is better to receive Godly Counsel.    vv. 5-6
      a.  The requirement is a humble and teachable attitude.
      b.  The result is a fruitful life, personally and publically.  Acts 18:24-28

4.  It is better to have a Gentle Disposition.    vv. 7-10
      Psalms 118:24
      a.  Resist the tendency to try and force life.
      b.  Rest in God's sovereign purpose.  2nd Timothy 4:7; Acts 20:22-24
