1.  Christ's death was Vicious - He Suffered.    1-3
      a.  Christ suffered emotionally.  Matthew 26:38; Hebrews 5:7
      b.  Christ suffered physically.  Isaiah 52:13-14
      c.  Christ suffered spiritually.  2nd Corinthians 5:21

2.  Christ's death was Vicarious - He Substituted.    4-8
      a.  Christ died for our sins.  1st Corinthians 15:3; Colossians 2:14
      b. Christ died in our stead.  1st Peter 3:18

3.  Christ's death was Virtuous - He Satisfied.    9-10
      a.  Christ's death satisfied the requirements of the law.  Matthew 5:17
      b.  Christ's death satisfied the righteousness of God.

4.  Christ's death was Victorious - He Saves.    11-12 
      a.  Christ saves us from the grip of sin.  Romans 7:23-25
      b.  Christ saves us to the glory of God.  Romans 5:1-2; Hebrews 10:11-14
