Acts 17:1-15

1.  Make contact with people.  vv.1-2a

2.  Explain the Scriptures to people.  vv.2b-4

      d.  With Integrity
           1 Thessalonians 1:4-5; 1 Thessalonians 2:9-12

 3.  Anticipate some type of conflict with people.  vv. 5-8 & 13
      a.  The proclamation of the gospel provokes jealousy.
      b.  The proclamation of the gospel provokes hatred.
      Two takeaways:

           -The gospel is divisive and is able to reveal those who are followers of Christ.
           -The gospel is divisive and is able to reveal those who are not followers of Christ.  

4.  Pray and prepare for the conversion of people.  vv.4 & 11-12
      a.  The proclamation of the gospel can lead to reception of the gospel.
      b.  The proclamation of the gospel can lead to an examination of the Scriptures.  v.11

           -Open-minded to the Scriptures
           -Eager to look in the Scriptures
           -Careful with the Scriptures
           -Daily in the Scriptures 

 5.      Prepare to disciple people.  v.14
