1. "Knowing Jesus" comes by Revelation.
a. Jesus is revealed to us in the Scriptures. John 20:30-31
b. Jesus is revealed to us in the Scriptures by the Holy Spirit.

2. "Knowing Jesus" is about a Relationship.
a. The relationship is mutual. John 10:14; Galatians 4:9; 2nd Timothy 2:19; Romans 8:16
b. The relationship is meaningful. 2nd Peter 3:18; John 14:8-9

3. "Knowing Jesus" determines our Reception.
      a. False claims of knowing Jesus will be rejected.
            (1) False claims of knowing Jesus may be sincere. John 2:23-25
            (2) False claims are self-serving. Matthew 7:21-23
      b. Faithful confessions of Christ will be received. 1st John 5:11-13,
