Ecclesiastes 2:12-23

1.  Solomon was Wrong about Death.    12-16
      a.  We all die but we do not all die the same death.
            (1)  Death is the final chapter of an invested life or a wasted life.  Mark 8:34-37; Matthew 26:24
            (2)  Death is a triumphant climax or a tragic condlusion.  1st Corinthians 15:42-43; Acts 20:24; Psalms 23:6
            (3)  Death is the end of suffering or the end of any opportunity to be saved.  Revelations 21:4; Romans 8:18
      b.  We all die but we do not all die with the same destiny.  Matthew 25:46; Luke 16:22-23; 1st Thessalonians 4:13

2.  Solomon was Weary of Life.    17
      a.  Solomon's motive was misplaced.  Colossians 3:17, 23-24
      b.  Solomon's vision was near-sighted.

3.  Solomon was Worried about His Wealth.    18-23
      a.  Note how temporal possessions can become possessive.  Matthew 6:19-21; Luke 12:21
      b.  Note how temporal possessions can be so distractive.  Romans 2:4; 9:23; Ephesians 2:7
