Let Us Serve Him While We Wait

1st Thessalonians 1:8-10

1.  May our passion be the gospel.    v.8

2.  May our faith in God proceed us.    v.8
Genuine faith expresses itself in our:
      a.  Obedience to God.
           Romans 16:25-27
      b.  Love for others.
           1st John 4:7-8

3.  May our complete surrender to God propel us.    vv.9-10
      a.  Our surrender to God leads to our serving God.  Hebrews 9:14; 1st John 5:20
      b.  Our surrender to God leads to our waiting on God.
           -God's Son who comes from heaven.
           -The One whom God raised from the dead.
           -The One whose name is Jesus.
           -The One who rescues us from the coming wrath.
